Michael Oiknine is a partner in the firm’s litigation practice.

Mr. Oiknine joined M. Firon & Co. as a pre-intern in 1998, continued as an articled intern and then associate, making partner in 2007.

“The Best” magazine listed Mr. Oiknine as one of the most promising commercial litigation attorneys in Israel. Similarly, he regularly receives high accolades in the international attorney ranking guides such as The Legal 500.

Mr. Oiknine specializes in a broad range of complex disputes valued at hundreds of millions of shekels through the commercial-civil lawsuits that he litigates, which involve, among other legal issues, real estate, infrastructures, corporate law, and administrative law. He built his extensive experience on hundreds of appearances before all levels of the court system in Israel, including its Supreme Court, and in arbitrations and mediations as well as on counseling on all matters connected to infrastructures tenders proceedings, from competing in a tender through representing clients in administrative petitions; litigating all manner of contractor lawsuits in complex construction and infrastructures projects, including, PFI, POT, and PPP projects; and litigating complex technological project lawsuits in addition to multi-faceted economic and accounting disputes.

Mr. Oiknine has represented, among others, one of the top international defense industry enterprises in the world in a complex project, valued at NIS 250 million, for the supply of advanced military systems to a foreign country and regarding the enforcement of anti-competition agreements, a lawsuit the economic significance of which is estimated in the hundreds of millions of shekels; a leading entrepreneurial firm in a lawsuit for the enforcement of an agreement to establish an NMP (National Master Plan) 38 project valued at hundreds of millions of shekels; a prominent infrastructures company in a lawsuit regarding the construction of the southern segment of the Trans-Israel Highway (Route 6); and a foremost contracting company in a lawsuit regarding the establishment of a real estate project in central Israel. Israeli and foreign companies also enjoy Mr. Oiknine’s on-hands representation in international disputes, including in ICC arbitrations.
