| For more than 25 years, until the merger with M. Firon & Co. Baruch Shugol was the managing partner of Shugol, Ketzef. Kerner & Co. Before establishing Shugol Ketzef Kerner & Co Baruch Shugol worked for Teva Pharmaceuticals Ltd. He served for a number of years as the Marketing Manager of the Pharmaceutical Division of Teva, then as General Manager of a company in Kenya jointly owned by Teva and by Koor Industries, and later as the General Manager of SL&E. At that time, SL&E Ltd. was not only the sole distributor of Teva in Israel, but also an the exclusive importer and distributor for major foreign companies such as Squibb, SmithKline & French, Mead Johnson (a division of Bristol Myers), Kabi-Vitrum and others. In the framework of Shugol Ketzef Kerner & Co. Baruch served for many years as the legal counsel of companies such as Publicis, one of the largest advertising companies in the world as well as GlaxoSmithKline,(Baruch handled, among other things, the complex merger in Israel between Smith Kline Beecham and Glaxo Welcome), Schering Plough, Omrix and consulted many other foreign and Israeli pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and medical companies. Since the incorporation more than a decade ago of Pharma Israel, the organization comprising all the 16 multinational pharmaceutical companies that have subsidiary companies in Israel, Baruch serves as the legal counsel of the above organization. Baruch serves continuously for more than a decade as a member of Helsinki Committee (Institutional Review Board) of the Tel Aviv Medical Center. Parallel to his activities in the pharmaceutical and medical field and his extensive general business and corporate legal practice, Baruch developed vast experience in insolvency procedures acting on behalf of major Israeli and foreign banks. His unusual business and legal background caused the banks to entrust him with receivership of various companies, in some cases successfully operating such companies for extended periods of time. In addition, Baruch acquired extensive experience in litigating complex business cases in court and in arbitrations. |
