Niv's main areas of practice are Anti Trust & Competition, Mergers & Acquisitions, Energy and Retailer Trade. Niv specializes in Anti Trust & Competition law, particularly in the context of complex M&A transactions, and is consulted on various antitrust issues by leading entities in the Israeli business community, including some of the largest entities in the defense, infrastructures, distribution and capital markets industries.
Niv represents clients before the Commissioner of Restrictive Trade Practices for approval of mergers and restrictive arrangements in transactions handled by the firm's members as well as in transactions handled by other legal firms.
Niv advises clients on large scale energy projects and represents Israel’s main natural gas supplier in all of its activities in Israel including in multi-billion dollar natural gas sale negotiations. He also represents prominent television and media production companies in their activities as well as clients in the distributorship and logistic sectors and has acquired a considerable reputation for his expertise in privacy protection in database management and consumer data.
